Crises of Life
To Whom It May Concern.
Crisis of 30 years
It can be called "crisis of the meaning of life". It is with the arrival of this crisis that the search for the meaning of existence is usually associated.
Usually at this time a person changes his/her ideas about his life. Sometimes this leads to a complete loss of interest in what was previously important, in some cases even to the destruction of the previous way of life.
A reassessment of values occurs. A person digs deeper into himself and sometimes discovers his own personality in a new way. It is believed that the crisis of 30 years occurs due to the failure to realize the life plan. And then there are 2 options for the development of events:
If there is an active "reassessment of values" and "revision of one's own personality", then a person comes to the conclusion that before this he/she was on the wrong path. And in this case, his/her further development can be "shackled" by family, profession, and usual way of life. There will be a desire to rebuild everything.
Crisis of 40 years
It is also a midlife crisis. Consists of a critical assessment and reassessment of what has been achieved in life by this time.
Very often, reassessment leads to the understanding that life has been meaningless. Depression may develop.
But everything may not be so painful. This crisis hits harder those who were previously inclined to avoid self-analysis and denied the changes occurring in their lives and in their bodies. So, please, be more attentive to yourself.
It is reassuring that for the vast majority of people, the transition to middle age occurs unnoticed and smoothly.
The essence of this crisis is an increase in interest in the next generation and its upbringing. This period of life is characterized by high productivity and creativity in a variety of areas of life.
Crisis of retirement
The first thing that destabilizes is the disruption of the usual routine and way of life.
Often a person worries that he is still quite capable, but at the same time is not in demand, “thrown to the side of life”. A decrease in social status and the loss of a life rhythm that has been preserved for decades sometimes lead to a sharp deterioration in the general physical and mental state.
It is very important at this time to find another activity for yourself that will bring moral satisfaction and give meaning to further existence.
The midlife crisis
- You must not sacrifice one for the sake of another.
- You cannot sacrifice family for the sake of a new love.
- You cannot sacrifice work for the sake of a new hobby.
- You cannot sacrifice religion for the sake of a new philosophy.
In a word, we must not sacrifice relationships for the sake of achieving our temporary goals. The goals may be achieved, but their importance may be temporary, but the relationship will not be restored so easily.
Finally
It should be said that age crises occur in each person at their own time and the above gradation by age is schematic.
